Didn't mean to be literal, but I find ironic the use of the term, because it reminds me of rough which in portuguese, my native language is "Grosseiro"
As someone who does come from a hard science/engineering background I tend to find that every time someone tries to explain economics to me the more alarming it sounds.
Like I said in another comment, I'm not an economist. My background is in CS and though I work with economists at times when they need the help, my skills are often more useful in operations.
Maybe. Economics also has quite bad terms for many things. Like discrimination here, or "rational". It's like maths and programming, you can find useful things in category theory but it's not necessarily useful to adopt it as a framework in your communication.
