This is the one thing that I was looking for in an alternative to Sync. It made me sad that the main alternative to it didn't have this.

I use DecSync in combination with Syncthing to achieve that.

BTSync and SyncThing are also in this space. They do work, and BTSync is even somewhat usable by less-technical people.
