Where did you buy that NUC laptop from?

sort by: page size:

i bought used NUCs too. new one cost way too much :D

Which NUC did you end up with?

Where does one buy one of these Intel NUCs???

Which NUC? I've been eyeing one for a while, and am always looking for recommendations :)

There are Intel NUC laptops, or as they call them kits, I'm not sure what the details are. They're sold and branded by third parties but the guts are the same, except maybe the RAM and SSD (very minor customisation anyway). When I was looking I ended up with one since it was a pretty good price compared to the competition, I wanted one with a serviceable GPU for occasional games.

Same story. I looked at a NUC as a possible SFF PC, balked at the price, and ended up buying a Lenovo M93p Tiny off a guy on Craigslist for a lot less.

Which Intel sells as NUC.

Where do you actually buy an intel NUC? I always just see people linking to the PDF.

I think it was Intel NUC.

Which NUC model is it? I looked into NUCs a couple years ago but at the time they had a reputation of not being great with Linux.

They make something similar. An Intel NUC is basically a full system laptop, with the laptop-specific bits missing (no screen, keyboard, battery, etc).

You can buy it barebones, but you can also buy some of them with everything pre-installed (including RAM and flash storage and licensed Windows OS)

Ah yes, the Microsoft NUC.

Intel NUC?

there are 2 NUC, I saw it at the most expensive one

What specific NUC are your referring to?

NUCs are surprisingly well-built little machines. I have one in my car, and I give them my absolute seal of approval. I've heard of people running little VMware clusters on them too.

Wait, NUCs are that cheap? I would appreciate a link so that I can get my hands on one. I don't use eBay often and filtering feels terrible on their site.

Good. I love the NUCs and I hope the pricing becomes much more competitive. A bare bones Quad i5 on a little PCB in a plastic box with a wall wart should not cost $400. I can buy an new i5 laptop for that.

What the NUC?
