It's the only sane decision to be made. I wonder if Neil Young actually listened to the podcast episode. I really doubt it.

I suspect it’s not his decision to make.

Who knows. The point is Jeff isn't going to do it.

He's never been vocally against either one. He has been asked about it and has suggested that he is considering it and recognizes that a lot of people think he should, but has never said one way or another.

I hope someone has talked Mark out of it.

You make it sound like he doesn't have a choice in the matter, which is extremely unlikely and also very sad.

That would be incredibly foolish if he did.

He's already made up his mind, so he'll probably just leave out this important tidbit when discussing the issue with "management"

This goes against his own recommendations. He wouldn't have the patience to hear himself out.

Yeah. I think his decision is hard to really discuss or weigh out, at this point.

So he's undecided?

I think at this point the right thing to do would be for him to turn this down.

Aaronson would far rather take option 3. The only reason he doesn't is that his fans won't let him.

Who says he has to? I wouldn't.

I'd argue that he'd likely make a poor decision regardless of the passion involved.

Why would he do that? I think it's pretty much guaranteed he won't at this point.

It's not like he has a choice.

Personally probably not but I'm not the one making the decisions, SBF is and he's been able to guile his way through life quite successfully so I don't have much trouble believing he believes he can get out of this.

It's a gamble no matter what he does.

Of all Western countries, this is probably the best choice he can make.

Actual news would be him not wanting to do it.
