I use i.reddit.com. I think it was their old mobile site. Works like a charm.

PSA: old.reddit.com is so much better in these regards. I use it on my phone too, with some custom css to make things bigger.

https://i.reddit.com is also simple and AFAIU more lightweight.

Tends to work better than either www or old for console browsers (lynx, w3m, etc.)

Some features, notably search, are broken, however.

On mobile I use i.reddit.com which is the mobile web equivalent to old.reddit.com
