Why do you think Rogan cares? He found a nice niche where he could make money from, he hit the mother lode. He's happy ..

Rogan is doing this because it makes money and in his mind, there's nothing unethical taking advantage of people who want to listen to conspiracy theories and questionable medical advice. There are a lot of people out there who don't really care, as long as their pockets are lined and they can go to their walled mansion.

Rogan isn't political. He just pretends to be for money.

I think you're giving Rogan too much credit if you think he even for a second would care about Freedom while staring at a 9 figure check.

Because only Rogan has both the platform and enough f-you money to not care if he's deplatformed from the internet in total? And let's be honest: controversy drives interest, just like the MMA fight coverage he's a part of.

to be a fly on the wall at rogan's right now.. yeah he made the money, but I wonder sometimes if it tanked his show. Almost nobody talks about him or his guest's antics anymore when just 2yrs ago he was approaching howard stern status.

Rogan isn't creating the controversy, media outlets reporting on Rogan are. They also frequently stir up controversy for clicks. Are you not equally skeptical of their profit motive?

From what you say it’s as if Joe Rogan is a solipsistic prick with a disproportionate ego who runs a much overrated show and who cares mostly about getting richer and richer...

Why did he go on Rogan? What was the motivation?

It's a business, not a charity. Rogan is enormously popular. Content from marginalized groups is, almost by definition, less so.

I was gonna say the same thing. It's a gilded ghetto. He's a lot richer but a lot less people know or care what he says. Rogan's going the same way. And I have to wonder whether that's really what guys like that, who built their lives around gaining fame, actually want.

Money is good demonstration of how media is changing.

Rogan reportedly makes 30 million per year from the show already. He makes more than TV talk show hosts. He really is the new mainstream.

Huh? Does Rogan run a shop selling trinkets and snake oil?

He's a comedian chatting with people and sharing the discussion that you can choose to watch or not. The controversy around him is manufactured by a dying corporate media and ruling class threatened by unsanctioned voices. Speaking of being trolled by billionaires...

Obviously he’s aware his show upsets people who haven’t watched it, they keep trying to cancel him! I don’t think he really cares.

If someone's decided to be upset over Rogan, there’s not much he can, or should, do about it. The content is not shocking, it’s the intolerant overreaction that shocks the wannabe censors.

Joe Rogan confined to his bath of money doesn’t care in the slightest.

There's plenty of people way smarter than him, making way more money and making the world objectively a worse place. I don't really see much substance in this sadness point.

If some people out there has Rogan as role model I honestly, comparing him with most media figures, I can't be bothered.

He has a format that people enjoys, and he's not trying to make people swallow any narrative. That's good in my book.

Who is this Rogan?

Why do you care what Rogan says? With the way you describe him it’s clear you don’t like him. Don’t pay attention to him, then. The problem is people today who go against the grain are vilified by these bleeding heart outraged critics who have nothing better to do than attempt to cancel people. People are fed up with it.

I just don't see a point in criticizing Rogan. He does exactly what he claims he does and I don't want him to get cancelled. His show is useful.

To be clear, you're concluding that Joe Rogan is mainstream, and thus nobody should care about his opinions?
