No one can tell you here without passing for either a robot who just agrees with everything the mainstream media says or a nazi who also believes the earth is flat, you should research it yourself, it's honestly not that difficult but you might not find his old content since they removed him from everywhere.

sort by: page size:

He has shared content from far right/pro-Nazi accounts in the past.

His comments on Anita Sarkeesian are creepy and obsessive. Let alone the fact he blatantly and deceptively edits her videos to make his point. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7bVqfQvXP2o .

If he's dishonest (not that he's wrong, but that he's dishonest) about basic social studies why should I trust his science? Let alone his experimental results? To be fair he recently disassociated himself from the alt-right ("not") nazis. So there is that at least.

Well I think the association with very online right wing trolls is affecting his perception amongst normal people. But cannot say for sure

Hes just an altright troll

"He was editor-at-large of Breitbart News between 2012 and 2016. [...] Shapiro is a critic of the alt-right movement."

Sounds like a classic case of the "flat-earth society that has members all around the globe".

In any case, it doesn't get much more fact free and hypocritical than that.

God, no. He is a far-right YouTuber who is known for his promotion of scientific racism and white supremacist views. His website is basically a cult with active use of cult indoctrination methods on Molyneux's side.

Let's not pretend that the above poster doesn't know about that. He tries to bait you into watching Molyneux because he is "good on philosophy and parenting", who can slowly indoctrinate you into his far right views[1] (he doesn't try to be to open about them)

For instance, this is his take on the Holocaust:

> ...the Germans were in danger of being taken over by what they perceived as Jewish-led Communism. And Jewish-led Communism had wiped out tens of millions of white Christians in Russia and they were afraid of the same thing. And there was this wild overreaction and all this kind of stuff.

If anyone wants to take a look at this track record, in his own words, check out the SPLC: https://www.splcenter.org/fighting-hate/extremist-files/indi.... (Also the source for the above quote)

Otherwise, you can also take a look at the less trustable but far more comprehensive RationalWiki overview: https://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Stefan_Molyneux.

And if anyone wants to learn about denial tactics when faced with an alt-right, misogynistic mass shooter, using the example of Molyneux, take a look here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KkMfKihy33w

His YT channel is full of 4chan cringe. I'm not going to give him any views but it seems likely he's alt-right.

He is a racist, his arguments are bad, and his site tolerated fascists for years.

You’re being overly charitable suggesting he doesn’t believe the things he posts. He has a clear ideological bent and the garbage he posts, antisemitism included, is right in line with it.

You should really go look at his YouTube, Twitter, and reddit history - because what you're saying is wrong.

He's not my enemy, I used to be quite a big fan when his content was primarily about libertarianism. I just withdrew my defense of him that put him in the same position as Peterson because I feel that he has begun to court the alt right audience he has acquired. I'm on my phone right now but I'll grab links in a bit.

Dude went on an alt right YouTube show, but Google is the cult?

He just parrots what he sees/hears and he spends a lot of time looking at far right content.

“Right wing character assassinations” ha! That wiki description is light on him. Due some diligence and visit his blog linked on the wiki page. 15 minutes should tell you plenty enough, from his own words, about the type of vile person that started InfoGalactic. It’s far more biased than wiki, and is meant to spread literal far right propaganda. It is not a reasonable devil’s advocate other-side take.

Examples: hates Jews, black people, basically any nonwhite. Wants America to deport everyone immigrated post-1960 and to reinstate a Christian theocracy, even though he lives in Italy. Wanted Trump to overturn election and become dictator to bring in this theocracy.

When I've seen his website in the past, the crazy religious stuff has always been there, which I can look past, but now it seems like the crazy racist stuff is way way more prominent, which I just cannot.

He went full alt right. This is likely owing to the deletion of podcasts with hate speech. Just FYI.

One thing to look out for is that he maintains different outlets for "political" and "non-political" content, and he and his fans have a history of pointing to the latter to suggest that he's just a regular opinionated/straight-talkin' tech guru who's being slandered by unhinged haters. The reason that he does this is that his politics are trash (see his political blog, https://conservativenerds.substack.com, about half of which appears to be collections of low-effort memes revolving around transphobia and COVID conspiracy nonsense). He used to mix tech and politics freely on his Twitter account until he apparently realized that was damaging his brand and made it private.

He's an old-school internet freedom activist.

Judging from what's happened with many similar activists, I'm guessing a hard-line anti-censorship mindset isn't compatible with today's social/political landscape in which rampant misinformation on the internet has direct effects on meatspace.

Of course, this is purely conjecture. It could be completely unrelated.

Don't need to be suspicious. He's definitely inspired by nick land et al. the current reigning intellectual fascist and king accelerationist.

And if you need any further proof of where this guy's at politically: https://i.imgur.com/LvaK31Z.png . 1 is essentially an antisemitic dogwhistle meme and 2 is sort of self explanatory.
