Interesting to see this here, I'm guessing submitted due to it being 90 year anniversary since opening.

Hey that's awesome thaks! Seems to have been there for decades. How could I miss this?

The article says they worked there in the 80s/90s.

I was looking for this!

People took the time to "review" the place too. There are two comments there which have useful information, the others are people trying to be funny.

What's interesting though, is that the date stamps go back about two months. Evidently this information has been up for at least that long.

Thanks for the find.

Based on various images it appears the same location. I wonder after many decades whether location has changed. Either way, I would say it was a big birthday surprise.

Ah, nice. Might be something new, unless I missed in 2 years ago when I was there last time.

Like Grand Central Market in downtown L.A., going on 100 years old.

I was there as well like 2 year ago or something. Very well decorated btw.

Second this. Glad to see that it's still open. I was last there sometime in the early 90's.

I love it; been there since before it was called 1909.

I thought the same. The old underground Seattle used to be a tourist attraction 40 or so years ago. What's new about this?

That’s funny: I remember seeing it in the mid-to-late 90s and being amazed at how lax the security was. I took several pics and walked all around it.

It's been open for 5 years.

When I look at HN and old.reddit.com side by side they have a lot in common

Anyways, when is the victorville film archive grand re-opening?

No. Commercial use was 89.

It's like an old photograph of Times Square, where most businesses shown are long defunct and many were of dubious character. Nonetheless, it still holds meaning and tells a pretty cool story.

I'm honored to have been exposed to some of the hotel's history and its famous tenants through a relative who was part of the scene in the 90s. Truly an iconic place!

I just walked past there today and was thinking about checking out. What a coincidence! :)

That's awesome it's your full time gig - congrats! I hope to get Remake there some day!

Nice, I was about to suggest this one. I was an active poster there 20 years ago!

Glad to see it's still going well - it had a great atmosphere a decade ago when I was there. So much goes on there that isn't widely reported.
