Do you have any evidence that it is disproportionately coming from the right? I see a lot more coming from the left so it seems a bit anecdotal.

How does your claim mesh with the fact that racism, misogyny, and xenophobia are far more common among the right than among the left?

I definitely see this happening on the left as well (with identity politics). Makes sense that the response on the right follows suit.

Can you please cite "demonstrably false narratives by the Right"?

I'm on the right side of the scale, I see this more from the left, TBH.

I’m definitely seeing more of this on the left than warranted by reality.

Yeah, that's usually associated with woke leftists these days. On the right, it isn't as common because being on the right isn't really a popular position to be in in this current political climate.

How would you know that it's primarily the left (whatever that is) doing that in NL. Your own observations are not a good source for this, obviously.

I'm seeing that happen too --- there's been a very noticeable "migration" of left-leaning folk I know, towards the right; and many of these are actually the type of people that the whole "inclusiveness" thing is attempting to please.

This is true, though for awhile in the past few years, the Far Left was catching up, though the Far Right surged ahead in this year. However, in terms of numbers of events of violence, intimidation, and minor assault, the Far Left has been quite busy. The left leaning media just shows an extreme bias in discussing these events.

All of that stuff is bad, and bad for us.

I've seen far more on the left calling for bullying, inciting violence, and inciting hate than the right.

True, but this is far more often directed against the left.

This just doesn’t line up with my experience whatsoever. For my friends on the left it’s a common topic, and I see it discussed in left leaning publications all the time.

I wonder when I see these characterizations of the left if they are coming from social media. I’m not on any social media aside from this site I guess, so I’m not sure if that’s what’s going on. The folks on the left that I interact with in real life are definitely a very big tent group.

Agreed. This happens on both sides almost all the time.

In this context, it is the left for sure. But I can imagine plenty of situations where it happens on the right in practice.

This victimization is hardly exclusive to the right. You can make a good case it began on the left and is merely being mirrored in some quarters on the right. Probably because of the success it has brougth to trial lawyers as we've become an increasingly litigious society.

Ok, that's one. The claim is that it's widespread for left-leaning groups.

I find just as many fake stories on the Left. I don't think this problem affects one party more than the other.

I haven't seen this on the right, I think the left is far more guilty of invoking racism falsely. The right tends to be guilty of actual racism sometimes.

The problem is often reality having a left wing bias.

And by no means am I trying to isolate "right wing", it's just where my "deep dive" led me. If I had to guess there is probably comparable behavior from a large portion of blue-collar "left wing" folks as well.

Interesting result. I assumed that more people pretended to espouse left-wing beliefs, but secretly harbored conservative beliefs. It's interesting to see evidence that it's the reverse.
