Yes that I am aware of, my fear is Oracle going on a legal rampage, not direct mismanagement.

Oracle is a red herring in this story. Mismanagement seems to be the real issue. As it is commonly.

If this case goes the wrong way Oracle may find itself the subject of a lawsuit.

Relying on Oracle not to sue people for questionable reasons seems like a precarious position.

Yeah, that throws off huge “what would Oracle do” red flags.

I am guessing Oracle's lawyers will argue that is indeed the case. Let's hope they do not prevail

Does this surprise anyone? It‘s pretty much a given that Oracle can‘t compete longterm without their legal department.

Worth noting Oracle could clear it up very easily, the fact they won't is a worrying tale.

That's because it's Oracle. Everything associated with Oracle is a legal nightmare.

I can't see this ending well for Oracle.

I am not seeing how this indicates that Oracle is in trouble. What about this effort leads you to think so?

that's most likely intentional, I'm sure Oracle has a lot of lawyers to look over this kind of stuff ;-)

Are you aware of what Oracle is doing to its customers right now?

Oracle seems to be too focused on acquisitions and litigation.

If oracle isn’t getting sued, they’re not doing business the oracle way. Unrelated, I no longer work there.

It's not a charade, it's the looming shadow of Oracle lawyers.

Their legal team might still be preparing for this one given Oracle's reputation.

I'm afraid to touch anything Oracle for fear that a fleet of SUVs filled with teams of software auditors & a mobile law firm will show up on my doorstep with a $5M invoice and a lein on my house.

No. Oracle can go bankrupt for all I care. Criminal business practices.

This is a very cool project, I just hope Oracle's lawyers don't descend on this...they have a knack for ruining everything.
