Try Rumble. No censorship, it's the whole reason it exists.

sort by: page size:

How is Rumble more censorship resistant?

"Like Substack" is he kidding? As soon as Substack gets big enough they will no doubt prune creators just like YouTube does.

"Don't censor" is a valid alternative. Just don't.

This sort of censorship has been going on for a long time. For example 'oh fiddlesticks'. They are still swearing. But some sort of odd self censorship happened.

It is an interesting exercise for me. Try not to swear. No substitutes allowed. It is oddly difficult for me.

That's a pain in the ass, but it's not censorship.

Censoring competition/alternatives.

Less censorship is better.

Also, censored.tv.

Doesn't censor "classic", "mass", and anything with "ass".

I don't like the inbuilt censorship going on in this version. People should be able to opt-in or opt-out of that. Sometimes you want a little bit of the old ultraviolence...

Trying it now. Doesn't seem censored to me.

In my experience, it works beautifully on HN. It's not censoring, it's giving everyone a timeout and a chance to walk away from the keyboard.

Lol everything is censorship nowadays.

Supposing the word 'censorship' isn't censored...

Really happy to see more companies doing this though!

I don't like any form of censorship / filtering but this is by far the most reasonable way to do it if it must be done.

Censorship is good now, lol

Without getting censored I mean.

Do you have kids?

If it offends your sensibilities censorship is always an option :)

That's why we have Mastodon now, where everyone can choose what to censor themselves.

Yeah many games now will block words even containing 'ass'. And they just do a complete substring search, so any of the totally normal words that happen to contain a s s are censored. I don't know why, but its so common that people will just censor themselves preemptively
