Why not? Firefox is freely available and works on (almost) every platform Chrome does.

Chrome only? Why not Firefox?

i'm pretty sure google will not allow this on chrome web store, all the more reasons to try to push for firefox

Chrome isn't open source, so not much chance of that happening.

Why can't you support chrome?

I strongly doubt Chrome is going to support this and Firefox seems even less likely.

Available for Chrome. Nothing else.

What features of Chrome are you utilizing that prevent you from supporting Firefox? I'm curious, as when I clicked through I got some kind of manifesto about Chrome being the future, and seeing as your code isn't open source I've no recourse but to ask you about your project.

Only Chrome? Firefox please!

Why is it restricted to Chrome?

I don't see why not. Firefox runs ok at the moment (with no optimization) and there is at least one Googler working on getting Chrome working.

Chrome isn't the default on a lot of platforms.

There exists a free browser that can be built from the Google Chrome source repository, but "Chrome" isn't it.

Mozilla has similarly and previously made their branding intentions clear.

"We test extensively on the latest versions of Chrome and Safari. For the best experience, we recommend Chrome."

Why no FF? What could possibly cause them not to support it? Any specialists out there?

Yeah, since Chrome doesn't support it, why would anyone use it? It's a chicken and egg problem

Three of those browsers are just Chromium reskins, how are they supporting Chrome but not them?

I just don't support Chrome.

I doubt it. They're built on Electron, they get Chrome support free and probably just don't want to spend any resources on making it work in other browsers because most of their users use the native apps.

Yeah well I don't see Firefox supporting it either, with their usual practice of not even supporting what Chrome bothers to do.

Too bad someone has to use only Chrome for U2F access. I wish Firefox was able to handle it in the same.way of Chrome's way. Not even Chromium can work with it, at least not on Linux.
