Doctorow has always been solid on this topic.

Doctorow continues to be as wise as ever.

Doctorow is a professional activist.

He makes good points and has a clear set of beliefs that he applies consistently, especially on topics like this, but gets a little overbearing if you follow closely.

This is excellent. Doctorow doesn't disappoint.

I love Doctorow. Great work sir.

His name is Doctorow.

Pretty much all of Doctorow's work is worth a read, as a matter of fact.

Doctorow is on a roll- just watched his excellent recent speech from DEF CON.

It's nice seeing a Doctorow article that isn't full of hyperbole and hypotheticals. This one seems pretty grounded and reasonable.

Doctorow is pretty much a more presentable RMS on this subject...

Thanks for the informative read. I hadn’t read Cory Doctorow in years but I’ve bookmarked that site.

Doctorow groks the issues of the technological world we live in today much better than most other commentators.

Cory Doctorow

Cory Doctorow has been making and refining these points for a while now. If you have read his essays or seen him speak you may have heard some of those paragraphs already.

You can even see bits of it in his 2004 talk: http://craphound.com/msftdrm.txt

But it's an important topic and he's not wrong.

Doctorow is a professional writer. Is it too much to expect he write what he actually means?

Yep. Cory Doctorow.

Cory Doctorow.

That's certainly an interesting view. Can you expand on that? What were they doing before that they're not doing now, or doing more of under Doctorow's influence?

Of the top of my head, I would recommend Cory Doctorow. He's put a lot of effort into activism in this space.

Once again, I get a reminder of why I really need to start reading some Doctorow.
