They're also doing an annoying then where you have a message if you don't have notifications turned on for the iOS app. If you turn them on, the 'message' goes away. But if you turn them back off, the message comes back! So annoying.

What app gives you those notifications? What do you have to disable to stop them?

(I haven't seen them so I assume I already have whatever turned off, though I'm not sure what experience I'm missing out on!)

I don't quite get why you can't disable these notifications at all. I really don't want to see the things I missed or it finds interesting. And they're purposefully pushing you to look at it to dismiss those notifications.

This is especially annoying when they don't use different notification channels so I can't turn off individual types of notifications.

Exactly.. I was wondering the same. What notifications are these people talking about. First thing I do on my phone is to turn off all notifications.

You can turn off these notifications in the Maps app. It's annoying they're on by default though.

You can disable these notifications by clicking the 3 dots next to them and then selecting "Hide notifications of this kind" or something like that. Granted they'll come up with new kinds of the same thing that will spam you again, but it works for me right now.

You can turn off those adnotifications. They are kind of annoying, but one popup plus a button to block future popups is a small price for a powerful app.

The worst part is that they regularly add new notification topics that you also have to go back and disable.

I have turned off notifications for most apps. It was just getting unbearable.
