Remote work is fine, but Providence, RI area is preferable (or, a willingness to consider relocation eventually; though to be clear, for the right person this isn't a requirement at all).
We're a small design driven development company working exclusively on Django projects. Very flexible work environment, bonus options, etc. We are not a funded startup, we're bootstrapping ourselves. We have a large fluffy dog as the office mascot!
Must enjoy, or tolerate, a wide variety of musical genres and styles.

I'm the founder of MorphMarket.com. We are an online marketplace that connects breeders and keepers of lizards, geckos, snakes, frogs, spiders and other captive-bred pets. Launched in 2015, we are the largest reptile-related website in the world with about 5,000 active sellers. Our users passionately love the least loved animals.
We are seeking to add another experienced developer to our remote team. This position requires expertise in Python/Django, and it is even better if the applicant is a Full Stack developer with React expertise.
Our reptile site is implemented in Python, of course. We use a Django/Postgres/Redis backend and frontend development is in React/Typescript. Dev-ops mostly involve AWS, Heroku, CloudFlare, and NewRelic. As a dev on our team, you could think of yourself as a Python handler. :)~
Key skills: Django, Django Rest Framework, Python, SQL. Good knowledge of: browser caching, performance profiling, web performance fundamentals, system-wide debugging, unix. Nice to have: React, TypeScript, SCSS, React Native, AWS, webpack. Pragmatic: ability to balance quality and speed.
There are about 10 people on our product team. We collaborate with Github and Slack. Our business has done well even through the ups and downs of the economy. We are committed to a positive culture for the dev team.
This is a full-time, long-term engagement. Work-hours are expected to overlap a few hours a day with the US time zone. We have multiple team members in Europe and they shift their work-day a few hours forward to make it work.

I'm building a software-as-a-service business and currently in the process of hiring some help.
I need someone with Python/Django experience and frontend web development.
The service is initially only delivered through a web browser on a desktop client, which should help alleviate some frontend design issues regarding different device sizes.
Besides Python/Django + frontend Web Development, an understanding of AWS would be great as well.
I don't mind working with someone who is a beginner/intermediate level programmer in the above; the position is currently an intern position. If interested please contact me so we can discuss the details further. Work would be remote.
Looking for JavaScript (ideally TypeScript and a KISS framework) programmer with Django experience (or interest) to build the three-page frontend of a nutrition/health site starting with recipes. We have the designs in Photoshop and I'll probably do the backend/API during evenings and weekends. After the MVP, we'll want to add additional features as we figure out product/market fit. Please send resumes, portfolios, code repositories, questions, etc. to my email in profile. Can't afford HCOL rates at this time.
(I'm a senior engineer/leader with a background in systems administration, SRE, and backend development.
