Yes, lawmakers should come ASAP and make everybody pay rents that will ultimately not even be pocketed by the median creator/developer. What a fantastic vision! What a feast for the capitalist beast …

A true capitalist would make them pay rent!

This. It's high time to regulate rent seeking.

Isn’t that what people want? To eliminate rent-seeking behavior?

We should definitely seek rent from these desperate people.

No, the landlords and the activists who block new development should be shamed. They're milking the tech industry for all it's worth, with the side effect that middle income people are thrown under the bus. The tech industry is the victim of this scam.

I would love that, how rent seekers leech the system is not fair.

You think rent seeking isn't being rewarded? What planet do you live on? Landlords are making out like bandits and even raising rents just because they can

How about patent trolls? The list goes on, rent seeking is capitalism at its finest

I hope we see this act cut billions out of these platform rent seekers bottom lines

Reddit have used VC money to artificially put rent at zero, destroying community driven forums in the progress.

In a landlord analogy, it would be like opening a big mall and lure shops and consumers at a loss, making the city centre a void, then raise prices when the original functional community in the city is lost.

We should seek to find solutions that eliminate rent-seeking altogether...

This isn't capitalism, it's rent-seeking.

It's exactly what "rent-seeking" means.

This is why rent should be based on income, not market value.

Edit: if you disagree with me you should downvote me. Lol, fucking traitors are hilarious.

Rent seeking should be a capital crime.

That's just another guy trying to sabotage the working class, ignore the FUD about rents.

"Rent is bad" is itself political ideology.

How about no. Find another business model or go bankrupt. This rent seeking has to end.

I think we'd agree that a large portion of the current world economy is driven by rent seeking.

Great! Why should rent-seeking be reserved for the rich?
