Just leaving a comment here, if you are an electrical engineer and you are interested in working on thing like this, I'd love to talk to you.

I'm a software guy that comes up with a lot of ideas that involve physical products. It would often be helpful if I knew an electrical engineer, or someone more in-tune with that space. I know that typically it's best to have someone that you already know - but I don't have someone like that.

This is the kind of thing people in electrical engineering do.

Are you an EE? What exactly would you like to work on?

Thanks for the response. I actually did electrical and computer engineering. It'd be nice to at least network with people in electronics. I will definitely look into it. Thanks again.

damn, I was hoping people on HN would comment on this one. More specifically, electrical engineers.

…electrical engineer?

EE? Electrical Engineer?

There are a few EE's lurking around here, myself included. Can you elaborate on what you are trying to build?

As an electrical engineer, so?

How do I mail you? I just graduated with an Electrical Engineering degree. I am looking to start a career with a young company - which gives me flexibility to work on my own projects as I job search. I have kept most of my course work from the past 4 years and would be happy to help with both development, theory, and example class material. You can reach me at davep dot goliath @ gmail dot com

I'd like an answer to the same question, except for electrical engineers.

Electrical engineering.

Electrical engineering.

Hi, I think its a great idea. I'm a software engineer, so I can't give you any great insights, but what I would suggest is looking at online courses such as this one: http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/electrical-engineering-and-comput...

That will give you an idea of what kind of skills you will need - I would guess physics, maths and electronics would be good places to start.

This site has some links to job vacancies at the bottom - that would give you some idea of what employers are looking for.

Good luck!

I did not get an electrical engineering degree, but I work in that field. I'm not sure what this project does.

I'm not an EE, but my dad was the co-author on this paper, if you have a couple of questions for him, I could pass them along if you'd like.

Much more likely EE => Electrical Engineering. This is probably a senior project or something like that.

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and guess that you’re not an electrical engineer.

Nice work. You should check out electrical engineering and embedded tech. I hear that's a good field to get into around here.
