I don't know about yours, but the ones i see are also niche products from uknown companies and the reason for that is because those are drop shipping people rebranding china stuff and selling it for 2x or even 3x the price.
When I see something interesting, I'll always go to Aliexpress and 100% of the times the product is there (not with the same name of course).
Consider going even further if you order stuff bulk. Chinese domestic marketplace Taobao, has surely overgrown Aliexpress since its launch.
P.S. Aliexpress itself is an English language "fork" of Taobao. At some point, amount of active merchants on Aliexpress was that high, that it seemed that it is about to overgrow the original, but Taobao caught back after few years.
Yep, I have been alot of stuff from Aliexpress lately because you can find sellers that are quite reputable and actually support their shit somewhat. Amazon? You find people reselling shit from Alibaba and not caring a thing about it.
Aliexpress is just a treasure trove for ordering so many different kind of useful and often useless novelty items.
Unfortunately my country has now forever banned it and now I have to pay anywhere from 10 to 20 times for these same chinese items on Amazon and other sites (which I believe are still shipped through china but through a proxy country just so the shipping label doesn't say china).
Yep, I relatively recently learned about Aliexpress and it seems like most American retailers are just a local cache for them. But if I can order sketchy Chinese knick-knacks directly and skip the markup at the cost of a bit more waiting time, I'd just as soon do that. I've also found the Chinese customer service speaks English just fine and have been great whenever I've had to deal with them.
Also funny, my result of this is that I now order basically everything directly via aliexpress. If all i get is chinese crap anyway, I can at least get it cheaper.
Then I noticed that aliexpress actually made some pretty good page design choices. Since you can see how long a seller is registered and how many they have sold (both directly on the product information site), it is pretty easy to find a at lest decent trader there
I've bought multiple products in a category on Amazon, from different Chinese brands, using separate resellers, and received items that were identical aside from the labels even when the product descriptions and price points were wildly different. It's like AliExpress without the low prices.
