No they didn't. They failed to capitalize on existing ideas and past ideas.

To be fair, they were never good at it.

I agree that they never got there, but they were trying.

They tried, they just weren't successful.

They did. They just weren't as good at that as everybody else.

They didn't really achieve that either.

They weren't uniquely talented.

But they were though, they just weren't good at it yet

Guess they failed at that.

Neither had they when they started.

They overprovisioned, and never actually got close to that in practice.

Then they didn't deserve to succeed.

They also had the idea and didn't act on it. Or tried and failed early.

Imo they simply thought that no one was going to be able to compete with them

They didn't succeed, it seems.

Sadly, they didn't achieve the dream.

They did that, and it wasn't successful.

They kept pushing it, but never seemed to get any traction.

They didn’t really go anywhere.
