I always forget to explain that. Atomic updates are one of the best if not the best feature of nixos.

sort by: page size:

NixOS[0] makes all changes to your system atomically, and you can easily roll back to any previous state.

Same for NixOS

It will be interesting to see what they're suggesting for the updating containers. NixOS?

I've heard good things about NixOS. In any case, they're usually clearer about what's being upgraded.

NixOS is BestOS :)

I haven't looked at Atomic yet, but the design of Nix is so much better than Snappy.

Two words: "Use NixOS".

It's immutable.. like NixOS?

I'll echo the NixOS experience. Upgrades are not even stressful since you can 'rollback' nearly everything.

NixOS.

NixOS.

Use NixOS.

> The "immutable" concept

Which is both good, and actually sane.

NixOS: Exists. (And runs great after I moved from Arch 1.5 years ago!)

NixOS?

Nixos?

Use NixOS

This is great! Thanks! What an excellent use of NixOS.

It's not like NixOS never had any breaking changes.

It was my mainly driver for a few years and I remember at least a few announcements of breaking changes.

Already handled in NixOS by Nix.
