Not me. I gained weight actually but I think that was due to the proximity to the fridge full of snacks which gave a glucose boost. Untraining this took a couple of weeks. Much better to get outside and go for a run or ride.
No, I haven't and reading that I immediately picked out one more symptom: reduced appetite. I have lost significant weight, and in fact I'm still losing weight (but much more slowly now). Down to about 68 Kg, 1,76 meters tall.
I lost 40lbs effortlessly, eating as much as I wanted, and I've kept it for a couple of years now..
by switching antidepressants. the one I was on before caused weight gain and sugar cravings. I gained 40lbs when I started taking it and lost it when I stopped. I just suddenly found sugar and carbs unappetizing, whereas before I'd get intense cravings.
the experience further convinced me that weight regulation is metabolic or something. I used zero self-control, diet or exercise, and a chemical change brought me back to a healthy weight. my eating habits changed but it was subconscious, not willpower.
I’m 6’2” and weighed about 150 lbs. last year. Now I weigh 180 lbs. and I attribute the weight gain almost exclusively to eating the number of calories I actually was supposed to (chronic under-eater before). It sucked at first, shoveling all the food I could in... but now I’ve tapered off and have maintained 180 for the last twelve months or so with relative ease. You just gotta EAT.
Weight loss. I gained 15 kg within two years after quitting. With no change in physical activity. I did eat more, of course. Because tobacco suppresses hunger. But eventually I learned to love exercise.
