Musk claims an attempt was made to assault him: "Last night, car carrying lil X in LA was followed by crazy stalker (thinking it was me), who later blocked car from moving & climbed onto hood.
Legal action is being taken against Sweeney & organizations who supported harm to my family."
Seems a bit of a stretch to blame the creator of elonjet for a stalker being able to find his car. The flight information is public information. Even if it wasn't and/or he flew commercial, people would probably be posting about where they saw him due to him being a public figure.
"Tesla is restarting production today against Alameda County rules. I will be on the line with everyone else. If anyone is arrested, I ask that it only be me."
> The LAPD statement is careful not to state that no crime has been reported
"LAPD's Threat Management Unit (TMU) is aware of the situation and tweet by Elon Musk and is in contact with his representatives and security team. No crime reports have been filed yet." (emphasis mine)
I did not miss that tweet, nor did I miss this one[1] that seems to geolocate that video the video and found it nowhere near an airport. In addition, that incident was on December 13th. Elonjet posted his plane landed in LA in December 12th[2], a full day before that went down. Not seeing any evidence at all that this was connected to what ElonJet posted.
There's also no context in that video, it's just a clip of a person in a car. I do not take Elon's word for anything, he's demonstrated over and over and over that he will act in bad faith. The one party he probably would/should not lie to, the police, doesn't seem to have any report from him about this event.
> San Joaquin County, right next door to Alameda, has been sensible & reasonable, whereas Alameda has been irrational & detached from reality. Our castings foundry and other faculties in San Joaquin have been working 24/7 this entire time with no ill effects. Same with Giga Nevada.
Musk is doxxing someone while having banned the jet tracker he accused of doxxing (which was using public information...
) AND multiple reporters just reporting the story.
> “I go like, Oh my gosh, Elon Musk just DM’d me: ‘Can you take this down? It’s a security risk,’” Mr. Sweeney said. “Then he offered me $5,000 to take it down and help him make it slightly harder for ‘crazy people to track me.’”
[...]
> Mr. Sweeney made a counteroffer to Mr. Musk, according to the screenshots of the exchange, saying that he would abandon the account if Mr. Musk upped the ante to $50,000. He said that he would also accept a Tesla Model 3, an electric car that costs more than $38,000, adding that he was joking.
I suggest reading the claims from the guy in the article in the OP as well. After doing so, I came to a conclusion that is much closer to yours than that of the headline.
The guy claims that Grimes sends him coded messages through instagram, that Elon tracks his location at all times and blocks his Uber Eats deliveries, and says that he was also in the area (which he was aware was where Grimes lived) for some business with Grimes. If this isn't indicative of stalking, then idk what is.
But it indeed seems to be unconnected to ElonJet tracker website.

Make that what you will.
