I suspect we're quickly approaching the point where impotent cries of hypocrisy will no longer be considered even worth issuing. Maybe we're already there. The charge is inert, it does not sting, it changes no minds, and is slightly entertaining to haters, who chuckle for less than a second, and then get on with their lives.

I hope we reach an "I'm Spartacus!" situation here, were none of us can be realistically accused of anything.

We've gotten to the point where we think that not one person should be even mildly bothered by what we say.

After decades of ignoring the plight of the victims, maybe its ok for the rest of us to take a little heat for once. Not a perfect world; but I'm content for this to run its course. Lest we be perceived as saying "If even one man gets hurt unjustly by this, its not worth all the women helped"

I agree, let's not get too charged up about this current affair.

Unless there's been an unfavorable change in attitude among you, there should be nothing to actually "handle".

I guess we can put away the pitchforks?

Sounds like we've finally hit a nerve.

I'd be okay with everybody starting the mocking now.

Are we finally done with this attitude yet?

So far you haven't given us anything but vitriol to consider.

Then it is high time we get off our high horse.

We will get there for sure. Unless, of course, all of you here and elsewhere wake up and stop advocating just a bit of tyranny applied just to the right place.

Yup, when people are no longer spewing racism and homophobia, it will be a relief to have something else to be mad about.

Are you suggesting we shouldn't be mad about it now?

Just wait a few days and this back lashing will be over.

You're right. Let's congratulate ourselves on getting rid of all dissenting opinions. What could go wrong?

there you go, pulling us off our high horse.

A welcome respite of sanity from the perpetual torrent of selective outrage. I hope Chappelle inspires others to speak truth to power.

Continuing this flame war isn't productive. This position is fact proof. Time to all move along.

Isn't that a good thing, then? I feel there's already way too little 'appalled and shocked' going on because we just roll over and adapt.
