That's great to hear, Jonathan. I personally know two of the people on that team and they're brilliant programmers but never saw their view from the outside. I'm glad to hear you're getting amazing support from them.
If you're enjoying it a lot and love to program, you should consider applying there too.
Interviewed with this team a while back, so it's cool to see them come out of stealth. I was super impressed with their technical chops; would definitely recommend reaching out to anyone who's considering applying.
As a bit of an aside Michael, I've been pretty impressed with the quality of your team's response on HackerNews. If my skillset was a better fit for your company I'd consider applying. I hope you all get some great talent with this latest raise and I hope I get a chance to try out the product soon.
Thanks! I'm relatively new to the company — joined 9 months ago — but so far it has been a fantastic experience. It's a great team, and (if you'll forgive the near-cliché) the work you do has a truly positive impact for the world.
Not that I'm biased or anything ;), but I can confirm this is an awesome place to work! We're building some really great stuff, our vision is nothing short of enabling people to create more effectively, and our team of engineers and designers truly is world-class. Keep on creating. =)
I've been lucky to work with this team, and they truly do understand the developer-first startup unlike anyone else. Happy to see more money available to devtool companies!
Not affiliated, just wanted to pop in and say this team seems to really have caught lightning in a bottle. Their userbase is growing rapidly, they've onboarded notable public figures and Twitter power users, and it seems poised to really take over the mantle from Twitter. And the underlying protocol is really fascinating.
The team is active on the app and they are all good people who work hard and think deeply about this stuff, I'd highly recommend applying! (I'd apply myself but I'm a Python/data guy, which doesn't line up w/ advertised roles right now)
Congrats guys! The Ridejoys are a really friendly, smart, and humble group of people. I'd really recommend working with them if you can, so if you're thinking about applying to their designer or software engineer job openings, definitely do so!
I started with this team about a month ago and have been very impressed. I was quite concerned going from a two-person startup (that was, unfortunately, going nowhere) to a company with 110,000 employees, but this team is great. And the Cambridge office has an amazing view!
Not only the story is wonderful to watch, but I really like their attachment to the community here, in Ireland. Being present on most (all?) of the major events, lending their offices (& time) to host Dublin Code Kata meetings - I was taking part in few of those last year and they had been a blast, promoting TTD and hacking while solving interesting problems. Only time and amount of things to finish in my projects had stopped me from going on those meetings - but I will continue with the nearest opportunity.
I didn't had a chance to use their products, but hearing the opinions about it - and knowing their attitude - I'd vote with my both hands if having the opportunity to do so.
It's awesome. Lots of cool things going on [0], great work life balance, competitive pay, great people. If you want to know more just email me (in bio).
