I've found valerian root extract can be helpful sometimes but it doesn't seem to work for particularly long, whatever the underlying compound is it must have a short half-life.

Not highly confident about this, but i've heard anecdotes that lemon juice sometimes helps.

I'm in a similar situation. I've found that taking CoQ10 and NAD+ (e.g. Niagen or Elysium Basis) has been helpful.

Try olive leaf extract. Toniq with 50% Oleuropein is the way to go. It’s as effective as pharmaceuticals for me without the side effects. One pill in the morning is enough for me. Half a pill in the morning and another half at night would likely be better. Your results may vary, but most people clock a 10-20 point drop.

Try taking Ashwagandha.

Probably not the problem in your case, but in my case taking a single Magnesium/Zinc pill about an hour before bed became the 75% solution.

My friend uses CBD oil under the tongue, and it does seem to help.

Strong agrimony tea blocks alpha-1 adrenal receptors and strongly fights resipiratory inflammation.

Dried yarrow underneath gauze and bandages directly against the skin to strongly reduce scarring from burns and quickly stop bleeding.

Valerian Root extract absolutely works as a GABA booster to help sleep--though it leads to tolerance by the third day in a row.

Chewing/"dipping" yarrow as an antiviral/antibacterial, especially for respiratory, oral, and digestive systems.

Ginger's great to settle stomach sickness and stimulate healthy digestion.

Strong chamomile tea's boosts sleep quality when it would already be at least "good", and improves recovery from immune system activity. It seems to reduce unhelpful inflammation too.

Garlic fights skin infections (and strongly boosts gut health, and helps in all sorts of other ways >.>) when it's chopped finely, left to sit in the air for 5-10 minutes to activate enzymes, and then cooked for just a minute (no longer) to extract active chemicals into more stable food, so they survive through digestion and don't stress the stomach.

Mahabhringraj oil daily helps avoids hair graying, and helps greatly reduce hair loss. Its 11 herbal ingredients [two primary ones--Mahabhringraj and North Indian Brahmi] are all medicinally sound, as is the 50% sesame/50% coconut oil blend in which they're dissolved.

Curcumin supplements and/or consuming a lot of turmeric with a little pepper can help.

Try magnesium.

Try Budibase. It should help you out

Pairing K2, or consuming vegetables high in vitamin K, helps with this. Personally I both consume a supplement and use a SAD light.

To ease die off, you could try supplementing compounds that break down acetaldehyde. Usually ALDH does that, but synthesis can be impaired. I‘ve read good things about Kislip in that regard.

FYI: Some people find that magnesium helps with this. It may not resolve it, but it may make it more bearable.

I've found lime juice works pretty well for this too.

Some people believe that cherry juice can negate the effects but by far Prednisone works at relieving the pain, almost to the point of seeming like a magic pill.

Unfortunately it is a short lasting treatment as after a few times it quickly becomes less effective and it has side effects such as mood swings.

But take a 50mg pill when you can't walk and an hour later you're dancing.

So I guess if I was a time traveler I would probably try something like making an alcohol based serum from pigs adrenal glands?

potassium iodide might work for you.

Neither of those are especially effective. According to clinical studies they reduce duration of symptoms by one day.

So I would not expect a combination of them to do much either.

I tried ubiquinol, but not worth it in my case. Using a enhanced CoQ10 (q-absorb) does the trick for me. 100mg/day. Also tried up to 600mg/day with no additional benefit

Just look for homeopathic remedies then. Guaranteed not to have any active ingredients.
