No surprise that this completely unjustified vitriolic reaction comes from someone arguing about C.

What's with the vitriol? The person who wrote this is active in the current thread.

I didn't called out the above user. I was merely replying to him. Furthermore, I've addressed the merits of his objection. In fact, you have not addressed the merits of what I said, and neither did the other user.

My comments have been insightful. Your frustration is just refusal to engage with the facts.

But let me re-iterate: JeanHeyd's supposed "work" is contingent to his explosive temperament, and petty personality. He considers criticism to his work as obstruction, or outright bigotry. He is also very skilled in going full scorched earth on others, and shows no sense of restraint in those occasions, which leads to immense distress to anyone singled out as the object of his rage.

>many of us will laugh at you as well

For the record, I will welcome being laughed at in public, if I were to act that foolishly under the public eye.

The post he was responding too wasn't any kind of civil or even logical discussion. It just said his examples and analysis were borderline garbage with no justification.

> responding to unrelated, valid questions with, "yeah, but this one person made a lot of money and that makes me mad!" is ridiculous.

It seems he certainly hit a nerve here, regardless of people's position on the subject...

>This is an unfair take. [...] because he knew the HN crowd was going to go on yet another Electron rant-fest. [...]

Bundling all legitimate criticism as a "rant-fest" is an unfair take.

I believe the author, who is self-important, is calling me a dilettante (clearly he would say that, he's a writer). He's wrong. He thinks people shouldn't argue. His main point seems to be that people will be happier if they agree with him, but I'm enjoying this post anyway. And he said, "people are getting angrier". Jerk.

> The only point you'd be making by choosing zero out of pique is "bcrosby95 is an asshole."

Please don't make comments containing personal attacks here. It degrades the community.

The author is trolling with a bold statement (and attack on someone) without _any_ stated reasons. This is something which is not tolerated here.

he is not attempting to make a counterargument... he is simply very irritated

Sounds like he'll fit right in with most of the Internet.

What's the real criticism in his or her post? I see nothing other than a completely unsubstantiated accusation.

The author of this piece seems to have major anger issues. I got banned from being "uncooperative", despite being very respectful in my criticism [1].

> EDIT: No idea why you're being down-voted.

Making wild accusations with absolutely no proof would be my guess. Also the bogus moral equivalence he used to kick this thread off.

\> Posts some Hinduvta nonsense as fact

\> Everyone rightfully goes “bro wtf are you talking about”

\> Guess the triggered snowflakes are really just proving my point

His replies are all embracing the points of view offered in reply. This is unnecessarily hostile.

Fair. Edited to attack the words rather than the person.

I imagine this thread is all sorts of "fun" for you right now....

wat? Is this sarc? The guy just posted:

> "y u so mad?"

at some nonsense that his marketing team instigated.

' Is this a fair paraphrase? "Everyone here isn't attacking you, also, your draft sucks and shouldn't have been posted on HN."'

No, it's not. speckledjim is complaining that someone writing another book on C is not news, he doesn't say anything about the draft sucking.

Argumentative? I agreed that he was a jackass with a pithy comment about spelling.

Inflammatory? What else do you call a clown that would spit on his own mother for a nickel?

Point taken, but FFS. The man was a grand mal asshole and that should be mentioned every time his name appears.
