I voted against it when we were deciding to make this video. I just feel that they're not engaging enough, and everyone is already doing them. If you want to stand out, make a real video, put some real effort into it.

It is more of a (biased?) demonstration than a debate, and obviously video is a better choice.

I agree, but we appear to be in the minority. I find videos unengaging personally.

Just because you can raise money doesn't mean you should. I find video extremely distracting on a daily basis and avoid it at all costs. You may not feel the same.

The video is worth watching just to see how not-worth-watching the video is.

Same here - I will invest a great deal of effort in not having to watch a video, which increasingly makes me feel at odds with a large swathe of the engineer community.
