Not sure how your comment refutes the contention of reliability. Seems to me to be more a condemnation of failures that do happen (which is of course worthy of concern, but irrelevant in a conversation about stability).
Reliability is a fair term, with an asterix. It is a specific flavor of reliability: deployment or scaling or net-new or allocation or whatever you want to call it.
Reliability does not only mean data loss. It may not be losing data but crashing every few hours, or locking up the system, or requiring constant monitoring and maintenance etc.
