And that is reliability?

and reliability.

Reliability.

Sure but not anywhere remotely near clearing the bar to simply calling that “reliability”.

that's not what reliability means

How reliable is that?

How reliable is that?

Not sure how your comment refutes the contention of reliability. Seems to me to be more a condemnation of failures that do happen (which is of course worthy of concern, but irrelevant in a conversation about stability).

That's true, but it's not relevant here... we're talking about reliability.

What about reliability, backup?

Oh, ok.

Reliability as in uptime?

Which do you consider reliable?

And reliability, aren't they?

Is reliability always a good thing? I could do with a few myself.

true, but reliability is undeniable

Thank you for the clarifying comment, this was really the thing I was meaning when I imprecisely said "reliability".

Reliability is a fair term, with an asterix. It is a specific flavor of reliability: deployment or scaling or net-new or allocation or whatever you want to call it.

Reliability does not only mean data loss. It may not be losing data but crashing every few hours, or locking up the system, or requiring constant monitoring and maintenance etc.
