Twitter isn't real life.

It's not real.

Twitter is not real life.

You know Twitter is not a real place right?

"Twitter isn't real life"

A good reminder that "Twitter isn't real life" as the saying goes

Twitter is not the world or a meaningful representation of the world.

I dont understand how anyone is still under the illusion that Twitter is inhabited by humans. Nothing there feels real to me.

95% of the negative stuff and 99% of the political stuff on twitter has absolutely no bearing on what "stuff" is going on in the real world and is more likely to bias your own views than by just listening to the people in whatever your personal friend/work bubble is.

Twitter is not real life. It's a deranged, toxic simulacrum of an alternative universe built by a god who hates us.

I'd like to think that these tweets are actually parodying the "real" Twitter, but sadly I know better than that. Oh the world... what an interesting place you are...

What's Twitter lol?

I found it to be a cesspool before the name change and it's only gotten worse.

I suppose I'm conflating "enjoyable" or "tolerable" with your description of "real" but everything I've glanced at from a distance lately defies your description of Twitter as real.

Twitter is fun to read but it's a warped version of reality. So many people post absurd takes on there and find their little corners where other people actually agree with their craziness. A lot of people brashly tweeting stuff that they would likely never say out loud with polite company.

Twitter does not represent humanity. Far from it.

Twitter is not the real world - what goes on there only really effects what happens if you let it. If you ignore it, nothing bad happens.

I promise you, real life in America is nothing like Twitter.

That's not how Twitter works

You're going too deep into something that can easily be explained by Occam's Razor:

They're just trolls, bots on the internet trying to garner attention, especially now that everything is getting a whole lot fake these days.

I would highly doubt any real person would do what they write of in real life.

So what is said on Twitter is just more amplified and selective than what goes on in real life and is best ignored.

Because it isn't real.

What? Twitter is amazing now. Reality distortion field I guess.

Twitter is an echo chamber of edginess and not indicative of the average person in the real world.

It's like wondering what 4chan thinks of this.

I wish we would all collectively agree not to use Twitter or consider it an inappropriate place for such communication. I don't know how Twitter became a serious enough platform for public figures to post on, but to me it still feels equivalent to posting on your niche video game forum or MySpace. I can't take anything seriously if they post it on Twitter.
