Just need a phrase that forces them to continue, a la "would you kindly" in Bioshock.

"Please continue without explanation." Usually works for me.

“Would you kindly'… Powerful phrase. Familiar phrase?”

I think they’d say, “Keep sitting”

Instead of "no, we can't do that" give them the appropriate quote.

I would say something like "keep guessing" instead of "retry" but good suggestion.

I say "go on", usually with a nod, for this.

This is a great example of a garden path sentence. My mind tripped over “please do so” several times.

Or "Come on..." :)

How about, "Im going to have you...". Do you get that one? I hate that one.

What's wrong with a nice, "Please foo?"

It's good to prompt them.

Simply telling it "continue" has worked for me.

Something as short as "Have you given up on this?" might work

This is usually the way I respond to friends who know they can follow that up with "please!" and I'll do it. It's kind of a "how important is this to you?" test.

for me it would be a "yes please". see how different people and preferences are.

My favorite lines to use:

"Whoa.. whatever you just did, do it again."

or

"Can I have her give me the pat down instead?"

And you can really irritate them if you say the little spiel along with them. It rattles them.

Like say "pretty please".

In this context, how about something like this?

"Don't repeat yourself (As Much as Possible)"

My personal favorite is, "It's important to note..." I asked it to stop using that phrase or variations and that lasted one prompt. I'm tempted to put the phrase on a T-shirt.

May I humbly suggest training her to say "Will you please ..."?
