And my usage of reddit will close down as well.

So excited to have all that time back to be honest.

Yep, I'm out as well. I'm honestly looking forward to having more free time with Reddit no longer on my phone.

Guess this is goodbye to my Reddit account. I already stopped using it earlier this month, but it’s time to delete it for good. I was hoping for something reasonable to happen, but looks like it won’t.

Honestly kinda glad to be getting the wasted time back.

bye Reddit.

Goodbye, Reddit.

Good bye reddit.

Glad I deleted my account a while back.

Hopefully all these clouds will pass over and we can get back to personal computing.

Just quit reddit.

Thank you Apollo for all the fun times. You made it way too easy to use Reddit. While you will be missed, I’m glad this is giving me time back in my life.

I’ve already finished two books since the new API pricing was revealed, and I am NOT a book reader (having read less than 10 books in my lifetime, and I’m turning 40 this year). But I’m happy to be becoming one.

Bye Reddit. I hope one day your corporate leaders will look back and realize the error of their ways and how they single-handedly destroyed countless online communities practically overnight.

Thanks, but not going there. The reddit break has been great for me, apart from agreeing with 'the cause'. As much as I will miss the content, I will now do other things. I never saw it as an addiction, but a pleasant habit, and a very easy one to break. Bye, bye 5k+ points (in about c4 months). I was actually quite proud of that. Now, it can all rot in hell.

I'm winding down my participation. It's been a fun ride for the most part but it is really easy to get depressed reading a lot of stuff that gets posted.

Discussions tend to deteriorate quickly and quality comments with sources get buried. That isn't how it all started. I'll shut down my last account soon after overwriting and deleting all the posts.

It's fitting that Imgur is also gonna scratch all the content they have from people who never made Imgur accounts. I have a lot of tutorials, marked-up photos, etc that I used to help people thru issues on some of those niche forums involving home and auto repairs. It's good to know all that will be gone.

I'll be down to one site for online engagement and news.

I’m just off Reddit at this point.

I'll be taking down my site down Jan 18 as well.

Thanks everyone. I'm going to be taking a short break.

ohwait, that means no more computers at all.

well shit, time to switch careers.

I guess I'll have no more use for my yahoo ID.

I am not going to to the site at all today, I mostly lurk in the sysadmin subreddit anyway and they have choosen not to go dark for reasons I disagree with

but regardless, I removing myself from the traffic of the site..

by the 30th I plan on archiving all my historical comments, and deleting my accounts

I will really miss those internet points

Sorry guys. I'll log out now.

It’s OK, you’re not on Reddit anymore.
