This comment reads as a bit unhinged, but I upvoted it for the description of Facebook which made me chuckle.

Haha. I have to chuckle. I'm really curious why anyone would downvote this comment, unless of course they worked for Facebook.

The comments (on Facebook) are surreal.

That seems strangely appropriate for Facebook.

True. Unsettling.

It seems Facebook is on an absurdity run. The last two weeks have been full of absurd bugs, absurd ideas. </rant>

I laughed out loud at this:

The Facebook Platform is a shape-shifting, chimeric shadow of suffering and despair, a cruel joke perpetrated upon honest men and women at the brutish whim of bloodthirsty sociopaths sick with bilious greed and absent mercy or decency. Developing for the Facebook Platform is picking out the wallpaper for one's own death row holding cell, the cleaver for one's own blood sacrifice.

Yeah, part of me wants to laugh. The rest of me shudders.

Facebook can now tell me which of my friends are poker players, pedophiles or terrorists, 'just by looking at them'.

My daydreams of going offline and becoming totally anonymous have just become much more vivid.

the last part was just for the lulz. I figured a facebook quality post needed some facebook quality comments.

funny facebook

Read the post and saw Facebook like button at the bottom. Was pretty amused

Sounds exactly like what FB would write. Thanks for the laugh!

Well, it's Facebook.

This is the most bizarre use of Facebook I've ever heard of

It was somewhat tongue in cheek, but roughly what Facebook seems to be doing.

Am I alone in finding this an odd thing to be reading on Facebook?

You have, quite literally, described Facebook.

GP describes some of the Facebookinest behavior one could imagine, and it's like "holy shit! Facebook has done some Facebook-ass shit now!" Facebook constantly surprises everyone, merely by Facebooking as it has always Facebooked.

The funny thing is the "share on facebook" button at the end of the article.

From the article link in the readme, this is a dig at Facebook.

Facebook: 2620::1c00:0:face:b00c:0:2

Clever.
