I think now Apple’s Notes app does this right now.

I you’re in the Apple ecosystem, the built-in Notes app does this.

Or, if on Mac / iOS, the Notes app.

The new Apple Notes app does all this beautifully.

There a couple of apps that do this, notably Evernote and Goodnotes. Recently, the built in Notes app on iOS has added this feature as well, but it's still a bit finicky.

Isn't this how Apple Notes worked until recently?

Apples built in Notes app does pretty well these days.

The Notes app?

if you want this on your phone, apple's notes has this capability

Apple Notes.

the Notes app

I've been writing everything down in a notes app recently and I love it. If I think of a good Christmas gift for my brother in July, it goes in the app. If someone recommends an interesting-sounding book, it goes in the app. If an app at work has a specific or convoluted build process, it goes in the app.

As someone who spent his entire childhood getting in trouble for forgetting things, it's been life-changing. Computers remember things so much better than my dumb brain.

I wish this was built into the iOS notes app. So many notes are just number calculations like this.

Apple Notes is spectacular these days.

I use Apple's Notes app. It doesn't really need to be more complicated than that.

Really interesting. Did you make this? Is there an API to Apple Notes? I've been wanting to programmatically interact with my notes for some time but found it to be a strangely closed ecosystem.

iOS notes app is very good.
