This seems like a great place to plug f-droid which is basically an Android "market" of all open-source apps that they compile themselves. Download reddit is fun from f-droid here:

http://f-droid.org/repository/browse/?fdid=com.andrewshu.and...

sort by: page size:

Since it's open source* it's already available in the F-droid repository (which in this context would be called a Market, if it weren't all free):

F-droid installer: https://f-droid.org/FDroid.apk

Web link to RIF http://f-droid.org/repository/browse/?fdfilter=reddit%20is%2...

* I'm currently using Diode which is a fork of the older RIF app.

Lots more open source Android apps on f-droid:

F-Droid: https://f-droid.org

Also all apps there are open source, I see this as an absolute win!

In case you're not aware, on Android there's also F-Droid, an app store with only open-source apps, maintained by a non-profit organization. At least when I'm looking for open-source apps on Android, that's where I start looking...

There is an Android app repo for FOSS apps. https://f-droid.org/

Probably not as easy to go over, but there are so many to begin with.

There's an open-source Android app which is published on F-Droid.

There are open source apps for that you can find on f-droid.

There are multiple Reddit apps on F-Droid too.

Might I recommend the F-Droid market for all your Android app needs.

Answering your question, f-droid is available for apps on android which has its own repository, that allows only apps that are free and open-source and builds directly from source. They also allow using other repository(repos) such as izzy's repo.

F-Droid is full of "real" apps that are completely open source. You can look at any of them to see how they work.

F-droid.org is live and kicking. Reproducible build pipelines of open source apps et al.

Decentralized repos, subscription feeds, key signing, etc.

There's f-droid [1], "app store" or rather an actual FOSS repository with Android apps. It doesn't have all the apps play store has, of course, but lot of interesting apps can be found there. (I'm currently addicted to Frozen Bubble)

Interesting app. I wish it were on F-Droid. It's open source so why not?

https://f-droid.org/: Open source, the apps they list include the following: "This version is built and signed by F-Droid, and guaranteed to correspond to the source tarball below."

F-Droid for Android: https://f-droid.org/

Also nearly any Linux package manager ;) (if they count as an "app store" for you)

F-Droid is the best Android application repository around. It contains only free software.

Note: this is open source, available from F-droid.

F-droid is strictly for open source apps.
