I have a 13 Pro, the small one. It lasts a day fine. Put a TPU case on it and it's not slipperly. I dropped it at least 100 times, once down a mountain in central asia. It's fine.
As for battery, stick a powerbank in your bag. Anker do some nice ones. I got 9 days out of one.
The battery in my two years old 13 Pro Max already lasts two days with normal use. I expect the new phones (at least the big ones) to last even longer.
I have a 13 Pro Max as well and I've had no issues with it. The battery is certainly not as good as it used to be... I'd say its about about 80%. Only issue though, not even thinking about upgrading.
Edit: Battery efficiency says it's at 87%... feels about 80 though /shrug.
With regular use the battery lasts about as long as the iPhone 13 Pro, that is to say, slightly less than a full day. But the point of this phone is that ideally you are using it less.
> And the smaller the screen, the less battery you need too.
Sure, but the larger the screen the larger the battery that can fit. Apple themselves report that the iPhone 13 pro max will last longer than the pro, and the regular 13 will last longer than the mini.
Third party testing confirms for Samsung as well, with the s21 ultra lasting much longer than its smaller brothers.
That is legit my favorite feature of the iphone 13 pro max, the battery is like 4300 mAh and it never runs out during the day no matter what I do with it.
Got the 6 Pro too, me battery life isn't great either, but I WFH so I just mitigate with a power bank or spot charge for the times when I am on the go all day.
Never had issues with reliability though, I've been really impressed with the hardware aside from the battery.
I've had my 13 Mini since they dropped. My battery is fine, always lasts the day with overnight charging. I'm constantly playing podcasts, talking on Signal, and have the dynamic weather service running.
I have an 11 pro as my main workhorse. Multiple years old, constantly running the battery to 2 % then charging to 100 and it still lasts all day for me. I feel like the concern I see going on in this thread might be a bit misguided.
Potentially controversial: how much more battery do you need? I have an iPhone 8 and it lasts for two solid days (48 hours) if I forget to charge it and one really heavy day if I do charge it.
I agree that a little extra thickness isn’t too bad (and on USB-C), but I’m pretty happy with my battery life. Do I just not use it as much as most people? I’m genuinely curious.
As another point of data, I use the 13 mini and am dissatisfied with the battery life. Listen to a podcast on your commute and watch tiktok on your lunch break and you'll be charging at 5PM.
Install LineageOS but skip "GAPPS" (Google apps), don't install nosy background-active spyware like Facebook and its ilk and you should be able to easily go beyond 1 week on a device with a 4500mAH battery with "light usage". in full colour, with normal functionality. Standby time of up to a month (I got 21 days on a Motorola Defy with a 1700mAh battery), "normal" charge interval of twice per week with normal use. I would not buy a device which needs daily charging.
I've had Chargie for like 9 months now and my iPhone 14 Pro battery has stayed a steady 99% as when I started to use it. Great little device, highly recommended!
