I don't think META is looking for investors. And for advertisers, only the wasted time of those who are shown ads is of interest.

To be fair, none of these competitors are making money either. It's hard to make money from "growth and engagement" in a world already saturated with advertising.

If your business model fails without ads, I'd suggest you have no business model at all.

They don't run ads to generate revenue. Most content sites do.
