That's the first I've heard of it being done during the pandemic. I would also be surprised that this would be only x10-x20 the price, rather than x100.

This is for FY2019, which ended in March. COVID-19 is definitely not priced into this.

It is, but that was true pre-pandemic, so that won't mark a shift in prices either way. That's baked into last year and this year.

Well for one thing they're apparently claiming that it's going to cost $10-20 again. Also, I think it's worthwhile keeping an eye on it. I'm very skeptical myself, but if they did pull it off it would be such a coup.

During the deflationary two year COVID pandemic they made zero price reductions.

If I remember correctly they even removed C1 instances thus increasing the price of their “cheapest” option from ~€3 to ~6€.

Today, all the “cost savings” that were supposedly made during the deflationary era are gone and we have to “adjust” again to even higher prices.

They have now seen consumers are willing to pay the higher price with the 30%, so it would seem unlikely to me.
