He has stated he does such. Which is why some people are upset, apparently.

Are you suggesting that he's pissing people off intentionally for the controversy?

Which is what though? Like what specifically has he done? I'm genuinely curious what people are offended about.

What specifically has he said or done that has people so riled up?

Yes, he called people out on 'generating drama' yet this is a drama generating move itself.

Amazing how offended some people seem to be by him omitting a few thing - who really cares

That is not _all_ he talks about, yet he does it enough and with enough of a lack of empathy that people get upset and amplify it to the levels that it's most of what you see about him if you're a normal person.

I think this controversy is more about his initial reaction to the people who complained on twitter, which he's stated many times that he regrets.

Some people are. Others are offended that he was silenced for that content.

What do you think the motivations of the people he has offended actually are?

I can understand how he feels about it casting people in a bad light, but ignoring the problem hurts some of the same people.

I think that attitude is a bit harsh. Does it make him a bad person? I disagree. While I can't imagine doing such things, I understand that people have vastly different values regarding many topics and aren't trying to be evil regardless of how opposed the values are to others.

I agree that in this particular case its a bad move to release this publicly because he is a leader of a major company and shouldn't invite such controversy.

If it matters he has apologized for those statements, said they where made in ignorance and claims that he's completely changed his mind now.

Still it shows, at best, questionable judgement to have said those things in the first place.

Are you asking me? Sure it could be, what's the problem with it? So many companies start fake outrages, he does it to the detriment of his own name and reputation, that's more honest.

It seems like we're at an impasse.

To me, it sounds like people wanted to "hold him accountable" for upsetting them. You clearly think otherwise.

And I don't know, but the article makes me believe he is not out to attack people. Some people have also pointed out cultural differences that are likely at play here: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=26168899.

Again, you clearly think differently given one of your other comments: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=26170030.

What he's saying is true though, there is no reason to sweep it under the rug because it hurts a few feelings.

Popular opinion seems to be that he is a narcissist and an asshole so I’d say plenty of people aren’t ok with it.

He's not "seriously upset" about the photo. He thinks what's happening is ridiculous, and therefore took the time to ridicule it. He's clearly right. But it's not a moral crusade.

Did you even read the article? In his own tweet he says he's "super pissed", how could you possibly conclude that "maybe he doesn't care that much"?

Some people don't like that he doxes people.
