That is not _all_ he talks about, yet he does it enough and with enough of a lack of empathy that people get upset and amplify it to the levels that it's most of what you see about him if you're a normal person.
I think that attitude is a bit harsh. Does it make him a bad person? I disagree. While I can't imagine doing such things, I understand that people have vastly different values regarding many topics and aren't trying to be evil regardless of how opposed the values are to others.
I agree that in this particular case its a bad move to release this publicly because he is a leader of a major company and shouldn't invite such controversy.
Are you asking me? Sure it could be, what's the problem with it? So many companies start fake outrages, he does it to the detriment of his own name and reputation, that's more honest.
To me, it sounds like people wanted to "hold him accountable" for upsetting them. You clearly think otherwise.
And I don't know, but the article makes me believe he is not out to attack people. Some people have also pointed out cultural differences that are likely at play here: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=26168899.
He's not "seriously upset" about the photo. He thinks what's happening is ridiculous, and therefore took the time to ridicule it. He's clearly right. But it's not a moral crusade.
