Anything a FIFA spokesman says is immediately suspect and usually 180 degrees from what is actually going on.

You know when those people are lying, the first clue is their lips moving.

they are lying obviously

Most likely they are just lying

They've said what you'd expect if they were telling the truth, sure. They've also said what you'd expect if they were lying. In other words, these statements provide no information. Given that, and the other evidence, it's reasonable to think that they are lying.

But that's not what this article is about.

It's not that these people don't accept (that is, comprehend and agree with) basic facts. The photographic evidence is irrefutable.

The conclusion is necessarily that they're knowingly lying, which is something else entirely.

It'd be equivalent to showing someone a globe of the earth and asking them if the globe itself was flat or round, and their responding "flat" simply because that's the position of their team.

They're lying.

They're lying.

That seems like an over-reaction: you really haven't trusted a single word from any official because of one official being misleading?

Yes I think they are lying.

Seems more likely they’re lying.

If Accentures lips are moving, they are lying.

Even if that's so, saying it's plausible they lied would be putting it kindly

I sense a paradox there. They are insisting on calling it a lie but really it isn't

its crazy when they lie like this, it makes you wonder what other stuff they are lying about.

Translation: THEY LIED

I think the correct perspective is that they lie as an organization. Sure individually maybe no single person is obviously lying, but as a whole they certainly are.

That's a real pity. It sours their other statements and makes them untrustworthy if even just one false statement is made.

They’re lying

They’re lying
