I would have returned it.

"It's for the basement room, no WiFi there" if the shop argues.

Did you return it? All manufacturers should be punished for requiring an internet connection for basic features.

I wouldn't connect that thing to the internet.

I'd just use wifi.

Presumably the machine wouldn't have Internet access.

I made the conscious decision to buy one since it was a good deal. But you bet I’m never hooking this thing up to WiFi.

Wow, I didn't realize that there was no wifi on this thing.. that's a deal breaker for me.

> They both work perfectly well without any connection to anything, and not once have they even tried to get me to connect them.

Is there an open Wi-Fi network nearby?

No Wifi?

No wifi?

It looks like it doesn't have Wi-Fi (?)

That computer is not connected to the internet.

There's presumably no router in this setup.

In addition, it shouldn't be connected to the internet.

I interpreted as: we have no guarantee that they won't need an internet connection to operate.

>Do they have internet?

no

Ah, yes, but I did not have access to Wi-Fi either. My phone could not connect to the internet. The (borrowed) desktop computer was online.

Probably, they didn't like to use wifi

Why there is no WiFi? Without wireless internet connection it's almost useless for me

That's not something I expected to read in the description of a fan:

"Purifier and fan. Not wifi compatible."
