I just tried this but it doesn't indicate it searched the web. (On Gemini mobile app on android).

sort by: page size:

That doesn't work for me. It just brings up a web search.

It is.

If their app is open and full screen, search within the app first.

I also don't see a search icon. Android + Chrome.

Unfortunately this doesn’t work for websites.

It also doesn’t work when you use Search to open apps (e.g. swipe down, type “y”, tap on the YouTube app icon that appears — I open most apps that way), or when you swipe through recently opened apps.

It does offer Find in Page, you tap the address bar to bring up the keyboard, type the word you’re searching for, then scroll down to the bottom of the search results to see if the word was found. Tapping that line gives you a way to navigate through all found results.

I found it, but couldn't make it work. Pixel 3a running Android 10 and the stock Chrome browser. Hitting enter on the search field did nothing and I can't see any other submit button. Then again, 10% of the search field is also missing.

The completion is a click away. On Android it's settings in the browser default search, similarly for Firefox and Chrome on desktop.

How though? People say this like search is simple, but how do you search for things?

I'm using Roam and I still have this issue.

Thanks for the query recommendation. Curious why the other didn't work, I feel it (or similar ones) have worked as I might expect in the past.

>Do you see a gear symbol in the top of main google.com and the results page? I think that's where Advanced Search is now.

Seems Android action-bar-esque almost, but yes, thanks.

Try it in Chrome. It blocks you after you try to search.

I pressed directly search without keyword and came some answers out... Using Firefox on mobile Android with uBlock origin.

well you can simply type "w" then your search in the address bar

Firefox Android, typed moz://a in the search bar, tap to search. Blank page, nothing happens.

Congratulations for the new brand. Much fashion, very SEO.

What device are you using? I just checked on my phone and I didn't see a tab for recent searches available.

What I found though were starred places. I like the ability to be able to see my search history. How can you get to that from the navigation app ?

Are you on Android? You have to tap search icon, then the search bar, after which the keyboard pops up then disappears, then tap the search bar again.

You have to log in to see the search icon.

No, that's a web search. To page search from there, you have to click the icon and choose search in page first.

It’s a single click on the search icon in the omnibar. Can’t get easier than that.

For me (on android) it works by selecting a route, and then while you are in the overview, click on the 3 dots on the top right and in the dropdown you can select "search along the route"
