My understanding is that we do not have any proofs of life from Assange. It could be many things: assassination, deal with Ecuador, extradition by Ecuador or someone else, simply an internet censorship, a PR stunt by Assange.
All is possible. This guy lives a fucking dystopian nightmare.
I for one am very concerned about the fate of Julian Assange, and would like to see evidence that he is still alive. If he is in fact not alive, that fact would trouble me greatly. I live in the USA, and while I am considering fleeing now, his death would be yet another reason.
Assange is alleged to have released unredacted info that exposed informants in warzones. This while running a service - not an infrastructure, a service - for exposing information.
Arguing that he hasn't personally killed anyone is not a strong rebuke against such allegations.
