The article link was cut somehow, here it is: https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2021/03/01/we-need-h...

The picture link expired, here's a new one: https://ibb.co/mTNsF7n

Can we get the link updated to the official statement? https://norwaychess.no/en/2022/03/02/russian-participation/

The article is an opinion piece that's inaccurately framed in that it's not the specific canceling of an individual (and cats), but solidarity with sanctions placed on Russia.

A BBC article from 2018 covering Navalny. You could call that oldernews.

The article is old, if you open the link they refer to, you will see that the Russian is there:

Here is the actual post by Leonid Volkov, already linked in this thread: https://www.facebook.com/leonid.m.volkov/posts/1935274903161... Seems like it is a misinterpretation or just sloppy wording on Reuters side.

The letter sent to Google is here: https://navalny.com/p/5949/ Video mentioned in the letter (you can see it in the scan) is still available: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fGhGMhSd99w

It looks like this is a NYT opinion piece republished in someone's blog?

https://www.nytimes.com/2023/04/26/opinion/russia-putin-dict...

> Title should say Russia has been banned from 2018 Winter Games. What a stain on the competition and elite sports!

It would have been but I stuck to the original title at the time I published the link. Looks like NYT has since updated it to "Russia Banned From Winter Olympics by I.O.C.".

Blogspam; the original article at https://www.nytimes.com/2022/03/16/us/politics/russia-troop-... is a lot more informative.

An odd choice, I agree. They should've archived https://putinism.wordpress.com/ instead.

Probably this article from the New Yorker not the Times.
