Wondering if the author ever contacted Nodemailer for sponsorship?

sort by: page size:

The author's email address is in there and it sounds like they were soliciting for comments... who knows if they are still maintaining this or not.

No, I am not the author, but dropping the author an email and asking couldn't hurt - hamids[at]axosoft[dot]com

I wonder if anyone has tried to contact one of the authors to confirm the paper is legitimate (i.e. someone isn't spoofing the author's names in order to create chaos).

I hope so. I found the author's email address. I'll ask her

Interesting. If the author is still around, I have a question - would the whois data have given you away, or was this faked/spoofed in some way?

Thank you. I am only asking here because it's been a couple of weeks since I opened the ticket and trying to contact the author via other means failed.

I'm not the author btw, not sure if he'll read this. There seems to be contact info on the site tho.

Have you been able to reach out to the author and get clarification?

The author's email address is in his HN profile (one click away). If you truely wanted to help the author you could have done it in private. I agree with the other users who replied.

I think they just meant the author's email address was listed on the paper.

I wanted to contact the author, but there is no contact info on the website. I guess I could use WhoIS to find out..

interesting. i'll try reach the author see how they are doing.

Nope, in the blog post I was referring to the author went to some event (in France, I believe) where some of core contributors helped him, if my memory serves well.

Still this is a good post, thanks for linking it!

Yeah, I don't see how to contact the actual author.

I'm not the author, just found it interesting. I'm sure you could find contact details on the authors site though.

The original verge article I saw on this implied that the author (of the article) was in direct contact with at least a few of the letter’s authors.

Yes, if I understood the author has 1000 contacts in his Skype, FWIW.

Isn't contacting the author the natural thing to do? Some googling found a user profile for him: http://www.embedded.com/user/JackCrens

I know, I emailed the author :/
