Last I checked much of the leftovers from animal slaughter made their way into pet food as protein filler, so I wouldn't call it wasted.

Looks like they're eating their own dog food, after it was run through the dog first.

I dropped a few pieces of turkey on the floor in my kitchen. The dogs gobbled it up. They keep revisiting that spot, but the turkey is gone.

In my dog-owning experience, the mechanism to handle undigestible items is to vomit them back out.

The natural diet of dogs is table scraps. They’ve been eating human leftovers for thousands of years.

Worry not, the dogs get plenty of goats' milk and scrambled eggs that their charges produce for them!

A lot of places and definitely historically whatever scraps were left from dinner would be the dog's breakfast bowl tomorrow.

The dog food is often the first to go. I tried it just out of curiosity and found that they quite like it.

They also like vol-au-vent or other canapé.


Then it becomes a dog feeder.

At least they eat their own dog food.

The big food conglomerates have been buying up pet food makers for decades. Gives a convenient place to dump all the leftovers from their human food production.

Best option is to find a maker that still only makes pet food, or take the old fashioned approach and feed the dog raw bones and leftovers.

I bet it's the dog food.

By that logic dogs would probably win since you have to literally pick theirs up twice a day with your (admittedly covered) hand instead of scooping it just once in the morning.
