I made this game with a friend, we've been working on it on and off (mostly off) for the past year or so. We were having trouble finishing it so we decided to release as soon as possible and removed a few features. I hope it's still fun to play!
Let me know if you have any trouble with the game, I'm especially interested to hear about the difficulty (very hard to get right) and if you got the mechanics right when you started playing.
Tech-wise it's a Cocos2D app, Objective-C all the way (it was our first time dealing with Objective-C too, so it wasn't always easy to keep performance rock solid. Good learning experience though.
Awesome stuff for an APCS project! If you're interested in porting the game to iOS I'd recommend checking out our website MakeGamesWithUs (https://www.makegameswith.us), we teach people like you who know java how to build games for iPhone. We also have a really cool level hub feature set in our SDK which you might be interested in for this game. It allows users to build / share / play / upvote levels and discover new levels through their feed + top lists. If you're interested, shoot me an email at ashu@makegameswith.us and we can chat more!
This is my first game published in the App Store and was made with the help of a developer friend, Chris. It's a simple interface but an incredibly challenging game.
Would love to hear feedback. We'll also be doing a post-mortem on our first few weeks in the App Store for those who enjoy that type of thing.
Here are a few promo codes. First come, first serve.
I haven't played it much, but I've always felt it would make an interesting iPad game. Seems like it wouldn't be too complex to put an objective-c wrapper around the code.
Sure thing!
BTW, I upgraded and tried your game and it's great! LOVE the authentic indie DIY backstory -- and "No ads / IAP / data collection of any kind" -- and the game itself is charming and challenging enough to make for a fun diversion. An absolute winner for casual iOS game. Hope it's a huge success and you go on to make lots more!
Nice I was addicted to this exact game on a mobile app many years ago. Thanks so much for making the source code available! Gonna be fun to dig into it

Also, I wanted to ask if you wouldn't mind me launching the application to the store?
