He will, of course, let it go if the government is right wing.

The "floating" is A/B testing. Chances are, if this passes some formula of (left wing people won over) - (right wing people who hate it) > 0 then he'll do it.

It's his libs, he can do whatever he wants.

At the end of the day I hold hope he'll approach this like a business. He'll hire the best he can find, fire the incompetent (of which government has many) and generally clean things up. What remains to be seen is how much the politics of any one group may stop that type of thing.

I hope he does, and in the process both increases his ownership of this fiasco and dispels any notions that his party still has any real support for "States' rights".

Of course he will do it. He plans to step down regardless of the results of this poll.

Of course he will. If they didn't have his backing, they would not be putting up such a fight.

Give a little take a little maybe. My right wing family now loves him

But he's not governing on the Right. He's governing from much closer to the center.

He has the overwhelming majority interest. He's promised not to vote with his shared but the option remains open if he's told to do something illegal.

Isn't it a foregone conclusion that he will now that he's been elected?

The right falls for empty fantasies, the left falls for policy wonks. Unless he starts reading a lot or becomes a loud a-hole, i dont see this happening.

Let’s hope! But honestly that probably won’t happen if he gets into office. Transparency is the enemy of socialism.

Well, he is a bit of a populist, so if you convince enough people, he'll probably go with the flow, on some things at least.

Of course. One day, he will step down. and then he will be fulfilling the promise.

So his supporters are right. He does keep his promises.

...

By slowly removing the ones he hasn't kept from the list.

This will be good for his election chances.

Probabilistically nothing much will happen to him, which aligns with his governing.

If he's so upset he can always adopt some of their policies.

I’m not convinced he will accept defeat. Once he feels he’s actually lost then he’ll let the party poppers fly.

I doubt it. Seems like he’s purged the non loyalists.
