Oh man. I tried it out for a little bit but gave up when I absolutely could not find any way to skip a track I didn't like. Never occurred to me that it might be hidden behind the popup.

sort by: page size:

Unfortunately, due to licensing restrictions, I can't add a skip button in:( Same sort of problem with Pandora. You can only skip a certain amount of tracks in a certain time period, so I've just excluded the option to skip tracks.

you can skip a track by double clicking the microphone button. Center button if you have the three button microphone.

Thank you so much for your feedback! I really appreciate it!

And thanks for letting me know about the go back button. It should "rewind"/show you the last disliked/skipped track assuming at least one track has been disliked/skip.

Can you please let me know what browser you are using and if you are coming in on mobile/web. I will take a look and see what the issue could be.

Happy discovering! :)

Also, may be it would be a good idea to pre-load next track? Right now skipping works reallllly slow

> - actively dislike terrible songs (hide it on mobile, hit the no smoking sign on desktop)

I see this suggestion a lot, but for whatever reason I never see an option on desktop to dislike songs. Unless I'm really blind.

Does it show up near the track controls?

Do you mean skip it once, or skip it forever?

The first is really an "advance to next track" command.

The latter is a "mark current song as Never Play and advance to next track".

I'd be surprised if there was any kind of interface with iTunes that doesn't have at least one of those capabilities.

I just tried out the app and it works pretty well. Can you add an option to skip half way through the song?

There's an option that allows to keep showing unavailable tracks. They appear greyed out and are not playable, but at least you know they're there.

Navigation and spotify. I wish there was a way to skip tracks using the volume buttons on the side or something like that to get rid of the need to look at the screen while doing it. Presumably that would drop the dangerous level down to that of fiddling with a radio.

Spotify has a massive UX flaw.

To access the options for a track there is a button on the right hand side, this is also where the scroll menu appears. I often find myself half way up the playlist when I wanted to queue a song.

I now understood why I was confused about this - this only works for the "generated for you" playlists. What I was looking for is for a way to automatically skipping specific songs on any playlist.

I realize the point of the feature, but it really is an anti-feature.

It's like if you weren't allowed to skip tracks on a CD, but had to fast-forward through each individual song so that it would be more like a cassette tape.

I always understood that when you skip a song the spotify counts that as a dislike.

alt + f will also skip the song you are on and play the next one.

is there a way to skip to the next song on the list?

Yes, it is annoying that this option turns itself on and I don't have it at hand. It requires me to click on a currently playing title which brings next tracks list that has additional shuffle and repeat icons.

You can skip tracks by long pressing the volume keys if you configure it: https://www.xda-developers.com/skip-music-tracks-android-vol...

I actually usually find that the random things it skips too fit pretty well with the previous song. It's nice to be able to pick a song and get a bunch of songs similar to it.

Of course, I understand why mabye that shouldn't be the default...

I just realized my media key for "skip to next" was double registered by Spotify, so it would always skip the next song and move to the third. It took a few truncated albums to figure that out...
