Yes! I didn't make the connection having not read the book, but The E-Myth is another bit of advice that the same friend is always touting.

You should post this as an answer to that question -- summarize the relevant parts, maybe throw in a few quotes, and add a citation at the bottom. It'd be a great contribution. It is a fascinating book and one that I regret not reading earlier.
