I'd be surprised if they weren't exploring it. But that doesn't mean they're going to make the switch; it only means that they're keeping their options open.

Maybe they wouldn't switch if they found similar advancement internally...

can confirm, i too am positively surprised that most people i meet are absolutely willing to switch.

What makes you think people haven't switched?

What r they gonna switch to?

I don't see why I wouldn't switch.

Users will switch if there is a viable alternative.

so let's give them more reasons to switch :-)

Just curious, why haven't you switched yet or have planned to switch 'anytime soon'?

Just seems weird for the conversation to be about how someone refuses to switch to it, that's all. :)

If that is the case, what benefits do you see in switching? I'm genuinely curious.

so why didn't they switch to that.

That might be true. I dunno. Its just what I have understood from professionals that won't switch. If that is neither the case, well then I don't know why they are still hanging around. Might be UI and shortcuts familiarity, I guess.

Is there a reason to not switch?

to be fair, switching over is probably non-trivial and/or risky

Read their second paragraph. That is exactly how they think of it, and they do think it makes it obvious you should switch.

Well I’m not wed to anything - maybe sometime we’ll see an article about reasons TO switch.

nobody asks you to switch

it is always nice to try new stuff, it makes u aware of current trends, and ready to move in case of job opportunity

Yes, I was about to switch and then they changed their mind.

Switching is really painful, though, because I am quite attached to the ecosystem and it would require substantial work to recreate it from bits and pieces.

What are they switching into?
